Job Overview: A law firm in Columbus, OH, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Real Estate Associate Attorney to join their team. Duties:

  • Advise clients on commercial real estate matters, including transactions, leasing, lending, development, and zoning.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate real estate contracts, agreements, and related documents.
  • Manage and facilitate real estate transactions from inception to closing.
  • Conduct due diligence and perform detailed legal research and analysis.
  • Provide legal opinions and strategic advice on real estate issues.
  • Collaborate with clients, brokers, developers, and other stakeholders to resolve complex real estate issues.
  • Represent clients in real estate disputes and litigation if necessary.
  • Stay current with relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.
  • Participate in business development activities and contribute to the firm’s growth.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in commercial real estate law within a law firm setting.
  • Transactional experience in commercial real estate law, including real estate transactions, leasing, lending, development, and zoning.
  • Licensure to practice law in Missouri, Illinois, and Ohio is required.
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in Missouri, Illinois, and Ohio (as required).

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Strong negotiation and contract drafting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of professionalism and discretion.
  • Familiarity with real estate laws and regulations in the relevant jurisdictions.
