Job Overview

The position involves handling complex employment litigation cases, including wage and hour class actions and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) claims. This role requires a dynamic, motivated attorney capable of managing cases from inception to resolution with guidance and support from experienced partners.

Duties

• Conduct internal investigations and gather case-relevant information.
• Perform comprehensive legal research and prepare written analyses.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Prepare and file motions, pleadings, and briefs.
• Represent clients during court conferences, hearings, and trials.
• Communicate effectively with clients, partners, and legal staff to manage case progression.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in employment litigation, particularly wage and hour class actions and PAGA claims.
• Demonstrated expertise in discovery and law and motion practice.
• Exceptional legal writing and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage multiple clients and cases simultaneously.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the California State Bar.

Skills

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in legal research and drafting complex legal documents.
• Familiarity with iManage and Coyote Analytics is a plus.
• Strong public speaking skills for effective courtroom representation.
