A law firm is seeking a Tech Transactions and Data Privacy (Incident Response) Associate Attorney to join their dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in privacy litigation, handling various aspects of case preparation, and advising clients on complex legal matters. This role offers the opportunity for immediate client interaction and work on sophisticated cases, particularly in the tech and privacy sectors.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage all elements of case work-up and trial preparation, including drafting briefs, complaints, pretrial motions, and memoranda.
  • Draft and respond to discovery requests, and conduct thorough legal research and writing.
  • Provide practical legal advice to clients regarding privacy-related matters and incident response.
  • Work closely with clients on data privacy compliance under federal, state, and international privacy laws.
  • Represent clients in privacy litigation and assist in managing data breaches and regulatory investigations.
  • Stay updated on new privacy regulations and provide guidance on evolving legal standards.
  • Participate in trial preparation and present compelling arguments in court when necessary.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and senior attorneys on complex legal strategies and solutions.

Job Requirements:

  • Significant litigation experience, particularly in privacy litigation, with the ability to manage all phases of case preparation and trial.
  • Experience drafting legal documents such as briefs, motions, complaints, and memoranda.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and international privacy laws, including data breach and incident response frameworks.
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills, with experience in crafting compelling legal arguments.
  • Ability to offer practical, actionable legal advice to clients on complex matters.
  • Superior problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative legal team.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Colorado (or ability to gain admission).
  • Privacy-related certifications (CIPP/US, CIPP/E, etc.) preferred but not required.
