A law firm in Hilliard, OH, is seeking a Personal Injury Associate Attorney to represent clients throughout all stages of personal injury claims. The ideal candidate will be involved in client intake, preparation of demand packages, settlement negotiations, and various aspects of litigation including discovery and trial.

Duties:

  • Represent clients at all stages of personal injury claims, from initial intake through resolution.
  • Screen and intake new clients, assessing the viability of claims and providing initial legal advice.
  • Prepare and assemble demand packages for settlement negotiations and mediation.
  • Draft and file complaints, engage in written discovery, and respond to discovery deficiency letters and pretrial discovery motions.
  • Take and defend depositions, draft and respond to dispositive motions, and handle trial preparation and proceedings.
  • Engage in settlement negotiations and mediation to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Manage all aspects of case development, including trial preparation and handling appeals as necessary.

Requirements:

  • 0-1 year of experience in personal injury practice.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in Ohio and in good standing.
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills.
  • Strong understanding of personal injury law and litigation processes.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents, including complaints, discovery requests, and motions.
  • Experience with client communication, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently and effectively.
