A law firm seeks a dedicated and highly motivated associate attorney to join its litigation team in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. The ideal candidate will be involved in a range of financial services-related legal matters, including the enforcement of loan documents, foreclosures, evictions, and bankruptcies. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to work in a collaborative environment with a focus on both state and federal court litigation and to manage a fast-paced, multifaceted caseload.

Duties:

  • Handle litigation related to loan document enforcement, foreclosures, evictions, and bankruptcies.
  • Represent clients in both state and federal courts, including bankruptcy courts, on civil and commercial matters.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and discovery requests.
  • Conduct legal research to support case strategies and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
  • Participate in hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
  • Manage a large caseload, ensuring timely and effective legal representation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing case updates and explaining legal strategies.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members to develop litigation strategies.
  • Perform additional legal tasks as required to support the litigation process.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the Minnesota Bar.
  • Prior experience in banking, financial services, or commercial litigation is preferred, particularly in loan enforcement, foreclosures, collections, landlord/tenant matters, and bankruptcy.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of cases while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Candidates with a strong academic background and a desire to learn are also encouraged to apply.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice law in the State of Minnesota.

Skills:
