Labor Law Attorney

Duties

• Advise clients on all aspects of US labor law, including but not limited to:
  • Wage and hour laws (e.g., overtime, minimum wage, FLSA)
  • Discrimination and harassment (e.g., Title VII, ADA, ADEA)
  • Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
  • Worker’s compensation
  • Collective bargaining
  • Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA)
• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex legal issues
• Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and other legal filings
• Represent clients in negotiations and legal proceedings, such as administrative hearings and court trials
• Stay informed of changes in relevant laws and regulations
• Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients on a variety of labor and employment matters

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law in the State of Washington
• Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing US Labor Law
• Strong understanding of US labor law principles and legal procedures
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Education

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the State of Washington
