Job Overview:

Duties:

  • Represent tribes, tribal entities, and tribal members in legal matters concerning tribal sovereignty, gaming, and self-determination.
  • Handle complex commercial and construction litigation cases.
  • Participate in trials, depositions, hearings, and oral arguments.
  • Provide legal advice on administrative law issues.
  • Perform legal research and draft motions.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to strategize on case management.
  • Manage a caseload while ensuring compliance with deadlines and client expectations.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of litigation experience or significant interest in Federal Indian Law.
  • Trial, deposition, hearing, and oral argument experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Excellent academic credentials, with a focus on analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction(s).
