Job Overview: A law firm specializing in corporate law seeks a dynamic Mergers and Acquisitions/Private Equity Associate Attorney to join its thriving practice in Redwood City, CA. The ideal candidate will have a solid transactional law foundation focusing on mergers, acquisitions, and private equity transactions.

Duties:

  • Draft and negotiate transaction documents, including acquisition agreements, merger agreements, stock purchase agreements, and ancillary documents.
  • Conduct due diligence reviews and analysis.
  • Assist in the structuring and closing of corporate transactions.
  • Provide legal advice and support to clients on various corporate matters related to mergers, acquisitions, and private equity.
  • Research and analyze complex legal issues related to transactions.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar or eligibility to waive in.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, or corporate transactional law at a reputable law firm.
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance and securities regulations.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
