A law firm in Tallahassee is seeking a motivated Lateral Special Districts Associate Attorney with experience in transactional law and a keen interest in government law. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and advising on a variety of legal matters related to special districts and governmental entities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communicate professionally and effectively with clients and supervising attorneys.
  • Manage multiple matters and tasks simultaneously, ensuring efficient and timely completion.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on substantive legal topics and factual subject matters.
  • Draft and negotiate a wide range of transactional documents related to special districts.
  • Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff in a team-oriented environment.
  • Work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines and client expectations.
  • Participate in large working groups as part of transactional teams.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida Bar Association.
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating transactional documentation.
  • Interest in government law and transactional practice.
  • Strong organizational and matter management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
