A prominent Dallas-based mass torts plaintiffs law firm is seeking an experienced Appellate and Motions Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of legal research and writing experience. The attorney will play a critical role in the preparation of legal briefs and motions, particularly in consumer protection and product liability cases. This position requires a strong understanding of civil and appellate procedures, with the opportunity to contribute to case strategy and appeals.

Duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft pleadings, motions, responses, and appellate briefs.
  • Prepare complex legal documents for consumer protection and product liability cases.
  • Assist in the preparation for hearings and trials.
  • Argue motions in court and represent clients in appellate proceedings.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys to develop effective case strategies.
  • Manage cases effectively from the research phase through appeals.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervising attorneys.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of litigation experience with a focus on legal research and writing.
  • Admitted to practice law in Texas and in good standing with the Texas Bar.
  • Strong understanding of civil and appellate procedure.
  • Experience representing plaintiffs is preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active admission to the Texas State Bar.
