Job Overview: A fast-growing national law firm is seeking an experienced Labor and Employment Attorney to join its dynamic team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on various complex employment litigation matters, including wage and hour cases and PAGA actions, in a collaborative and high-performance environment. The ideal candidate will assume immediate responsibility, managing cases from start to finish while maintaining client relationships and collaborating with senior attorneys.

Duties:

  • Manage labor and employment cases from inception to conclusion.
  • Oversee client relationships, acting as the main point of contact.
  • Coordinate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and assistants on case management.
  • Draft legal briefs and documents for employment litigation matters.
  • Provide strategic guidance on complex legal issues and decisions.
  • Collaborate with opposing counsel, managing case communications.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complicated employment matters.
  • Manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Supervise pre-litigation counseling and trial matters, if required.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in labor and employment law, particularly wage & hour and PAGA cases.
  • Strong legal writing and research skills.
  • Trial experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and stay organized under tight deadlines.
  • Strong client relationship management skills.
  • Ability to manage and guide paralegals and legal assistants.
  • Positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in California and in good standing.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in legal research and drafting.
  • Ability to lead and manage cases independently.
