The Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney will be a key member of the firm's legal team, specializing in handling complex technology litigation with a focus on patents. The role requires a candidate with 2+ years of experience, a technical degree, and expertise in addressing substantive patent issues. Strong written and oral communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and excellent academic credentials are essential for success in this role.

 

Duties:

  • Handle complex technology litigation with a focus on patents.
  • Address substantive patent issues related to various technical fields.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on intellectual property matters.
  • Draft and file legal documents, pleadings, and motions.
  • Collaborate with clients, experts, and other legal professionals.
  • Provide legal counsel on patent-related disputes.
  • Work closely with technology experts to understand underlying technologies.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree from a reputable law school.
  • Active Bar membership in the state of Minnesota.
  • 2+ years of experience with patents and related complex technology litigation.
  • Technical degree (e.g., electrical engineering, computer science/engineering, chemistry, biology, biomedical engineering) strongly preferred.
  • Significant experience handling substantive patent issues.
  • Ability to learn underlying technology.
