A prominent law firm is seeking a mid-level Patent Litigation Associate to join its Intellectual Property and Technology group in New York. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of patent litigation experience, particularly with a background in electrical engineering and/or computer science. Duties:

  • Handle all aspects of patent litigation, including managing written discovery, brief writing, and depositions
  • Collaborate with clients and senior attorneys to develop case strategies
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on relevant patent issues
  • Prepare for and assist with trial work
  • Support the intellectual property and technology group on complex patent matters

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of patent litigation experience
  • Background in electrical engineering and/or computer science is strongly preferred
  • Experience managing written discovery, drafting briefs, and preparing for or taking depositions
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Prior experience at a regional or national law firm preferred
  • Must be admitted to practice in New York

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Strong academic credentials required

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New York State Bar
