Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a dedicated Social Security Disability Attorney to manage a caseload of disability cases from initial consultation through administrative hearings. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in navigating Social Security regulations and possess strong advocacy skills to represent clients effectively.

Job Duties:

  • Personally handle a caseload of Social Security disability cases, providing comprehensive legal representation from initial intake to hearing level.
  • Assist and guide paralegals in managing their Social Security disability caseloads.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and summaries of complex medical records related to client cases.
  • Prepare briefs, requests for on-the-record decisions, and other legal documents to ensure favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Prepare clients for hearings and advocate before Administrative Law Judges.
  • Engage actively in all phases of client representation, including case development, hearings, and appellate advocacy.
  • Conduct opening and closing statements and cross-examine vocational witnesses during hearings.
  • Maintain compliance with Social Security regulations, POMS, HALLEX, and related guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Must be licensed in any state and good standing with the State Bar.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience practicing Social Security Disability Law.
  • Advanced analytical and time management skills with a strong emphasis on meeting deadlines.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in client interactions.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in case documentation.
  • Commitment to improving clients' lives through effective legal representation.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in any state.
