Civil Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A well-established boutique law firm serving clients throughout Florida is seeking a full-time Civil Litigation Attorney. The firm specializes in criminal defense, debt defense, real estate litigation, business litigation, and personal injury. This position offers the opportunity to handle a diverse caseload while working in a remote environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in civil litigation and be prepared to manage cases from inception to resolution.

Location:

• Palm Harbor, FL

Duties:

• Manage cases involving real estate litigation, business litigation, condominium and HOA disputes, municipal ordinance violations, and landlord/tenant issues
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
• Conduct motion hearings and depositions
• Represent clients in court for contested and uncontested matters, including hearings and trials
• Develop case-specific legal strategies to advocate for clients
• Communicate effectively with clients and opposing counsel to negotiate settlements, mediation, arbitration, or trial

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in general civil litigation (preferred)
• Strong understanding of the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage and resolve legal disputes effectively
• Strong client communication and negotiation skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Florida Bar license (required)

Skills:

• Litigation and trial preparation experience
• Legal research and writing proficiency
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
