Attorney needed for Springfield office

Location:

• Springfield, Illinois

Duties:

• Manage personal injury and workers' compensation cases from inception to resolution
• Evaluate potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients
• Draft, review, and revise legal documents such as claims, motions, discovery responses, demand letters, pleadings, subpoenas, etc.
• Conduct legal research on case law and gather evidence, including insurance policies, medical records, and related documents
• Communicate effectively with clients, expert witnesses, insurance adjusters, and medical providers to gather case information
• Negotiate favorable agreements and settlements for clients
• Represent clients at hearings, trials, mediations, depositions, and in other litigation proceedings
• Update and maintain accurate records of case files within the firm's case management system

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Illinois State Bar membership required
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury and/or workers' compensation law
• Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple cases and deadlines
• Experience with depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial proceedings
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly and compassionately communicate with clients
• Strong case management skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Illinois State Bar
