Mid-level Copyright Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks an ambitious and skilled mid-level Copyright Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team in Palo Alto, CA. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in intellectual property law, specifically in copyright litigation, with an understanding of how technology intersects with copyright law. Duties:

• Manage complex copyright litigation matters, including those involving technology and digital platforms.
• Draft and file legal documents such as motions, briefs, and legal memoranda related to copyright cases.
• Represent clients in hearings, depositions, and settlement negotiations.
• Conduct legal research and provide insights into complex copyright issues, particularly those related to technology.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and internal teams to develop case strategies.
• Guide clients on legal matters and assist with ongoing case management.
• Take an active role in client communications, ensuring their needs are met and advising on case strategy.

Requirements:

• 4-6 years of experience in intellectual property law, focusing on copyright litigation.
• Strong understanding of the relationship between copyright law and technology, with experience in cases that involve digital platforms or technology-related issues.
• A technical background (e.g., engineering, computer science) is preferred but not required.
• Strong academic credentials with a proven track record in handling complex legal issues.
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:
