Duties:

  • Provide expert legal advice on both lender and borrower side finance matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate credit agreements and related loan documents.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence and ensure accuracy in loan documentation.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, leveraging a portable book of business where applicable.
  • Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and responsiveness while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Contribute to business development efforts and collaborate on strategic initiatives to enhance the firm's finance practice.
  • Deliver outstanding customer/client service and maintain high professional standards.

Requirements:

  • 6-15 years of significant experience in finance law, with a demonstrated ability to lead transactions in a first-chair capacity.
  • Comprehensive understanding of lender and borrower side work, loan documentation, and due diligence.
  • Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating credit agreements and related loan documents.
  • Portable book of business preferred.
  • Demonstrated business development capabilities with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Admission to the Michigan Bar is required.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and outstanding client service skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
