Duties:

  • Strategize and manage complex personal injury cases.
  • Collaborate with team members in a supportive, client-focused environment.
  • Engage with clients to understand their stories and provide compassionate counsel.
  • Handle all aspects of case management, including mediations, arbitrations, depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Deliver persuasive arguments in court and establish a connection with the jury.
  • Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations on behalf of clients.
  • Review legal and medical documents to assess coverage, liability, damages, and case strategy.
  • Conduct thorough research, offer guidance, and prepare for case events.
  • Develop settlement strategies, create presentations, and ensure legal compliance with settlements.
  • Utilize available technology to perform responsibilities effectively.
  • Foster professional relationships in the community to enhance firm recognition and client service.

Requirements:

  • Membership with the North Carolina State Bar (additional state bar memberships are advantageous).
  • Minimum of 10+ years of civil litigation experience, including a track record of cases tried to verdict.
  • Demonstrated experience as a lead attorney in complex personal injury cases, especially in catastrophic injury and trucking cases.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

  • An active member of the North Carolina State Bar.
