Job Overview:
A law firm specializing in creditor's rights and residential mortgage foreclosure is seeking an experienced Foreclosure Attorney for a remote position. This role involves handling all aspects of mortgage foreclosure litigation, working with financial institutions and investors, and occasionally traveling within Ohio and Indiana.

Location:

  • Orlando, FL

Duties:

  • Conduct title reviews and draft foreclosure complaints.
  • Manage litigation, including motion practice, discovery, and mediations.
  • First-chair contested nonjury trials and handle judgment executions.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Perform legal research and draft appellate documents as needed.
  • Collaborate with financial institutions and investors on foreclosure matters.
  • Travel within Ohio and Indiana as needed (up to 10%).

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in mortgage foreclosure litigation.
  • Familiarity with general litigation and motion practice.
  • Real estate or title law experience is advantageous.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in both Ohio and Indiana, and in good standing.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage cases independently.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed attorney in Ohio and Indiana.

Skills:

  • Strong litigation and motion practice capabilities.
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and high caseloads efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
