Duties

• Conduct legal research using Westlaw to support case strategy and preparation

• Draft legal documents, including petitions, motions, and settlement agreements

• Handle depositions, discovery, and pre-trial matters

• Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and court proceedings

• Communicate with clients to provide legal advice and manage expectations

• Negotiate settlements in contested and high-conflict matters

• Maintain organized case files and manage case deadlines

• Stay informed on changes in family law statutes and case law

Requirements

• 1–5 years of experience practicing family law

• Demonstrated experience handling motions, depositions, and court appearances

• Ability to work independently and within a legal team

• Detail-oriented with strong time management skills

• Client-focused with a high level of professionalism and discretion

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active member in good standing with the Florida Bar
