Job Overview: A reputable law firm specializing in Workers' Compensation defense is seeking an experienced Subrogation and Civil Attorney. This role involves managing a diverse caseload, prosecuting subrogation claims, and handling civil litigation matters in a hybrid work environment based out of Woodland Hills, CA.

Location:

  • Woodland Hills, California

Duties:

  • Manage a full caseload with cases of varying complexity related to workers' compensation subrogation and civil litigation.
  • Develop and implement litigation strategies and create budget plans when necessary.
  • Conduct discovery, prepare cases for trial, and make court appearances.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including motions, briefs, and correspondence.
  • Engage in client interactions, maintaining clear and professional communication.
  • Negotiate effectively with opposing counsel and other parties.
  • Represent clients in court trials and other legal proceedings.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in workers' compensation subrogation (preferred).
  • Strong negotiation, litigation, and client communication skills.
  • Ability to handle complex cases and create detailed litigation and budget plans.
  • Willingness to travel for court appearances and other legal obligations.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership with the State Bar of California.

Skills:

  • Proficient in legal research and document preparation.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for client interactions and negotiations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a legal team.
