Job Duties:

  • Manage pre-litigation processes for personal injury cases with meticulous attention to detail and adherence to legal standards.
  • As necessary, handle litigation proceedings for personal injury cases, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct client intakes and consultations for Personal Injury and Workers' Compensation cases, providing straightforward legal advice and guidance.
  • Negotiate settlements with opposing parties or their insurance companies on behalf of clients.
  • Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and court hearings related to personal injury claims.
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation to ensure compliance with firm policies and legal regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with paralegals, legal assistants, and other attorneys within the firm to achieve optimal case outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the North Carolina State Bar and in good standing.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing Personal Injury law, preferably in either plaintiff or defense representation.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing a caseload of Personal Injury matters from inception to resolution.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly.
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills focusing on achieving favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced legal environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Workers' Compensation cases.
  • Proficiency in legal research and drafting legal documents.
  • Familiarity with case management software and tools for legal practice.

Certifications:

  • Certification in Personal Injury Law (optional but advantageous).
