Duties

  • Represent clients in workers’ compensation defense matters

  • Draft pleadings, discovery, and motions

  • Conduct legal research and analysis

  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding case strategy and updates

  • Manage cases through the litigation process while meeting court and client deadlines

  • Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations as necessary

  • Maintain case documentation and time tracking in accordance with firm policies

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in workers’ compensation defense

  • Ability to handle litigation matters independently and meet court deadlines

  • Strong time management and organizational abilities

  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents and managing discovery

  • Comfortable working in a team environment while managing personal caseload

  • Willingness to work on-site in Marietta, GA and relocate if not currently local

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in the State of Georgia (required)
