Job Overview:
A prominent law firm in Wilmington, DE, seeks an experienced associate attorney to join its growing Patent Prosecution and Litigation practice group within the IP Litigation team. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in IP litigation, including case management, motion practice, and trial preparation. Duties:

• Manage complex patent litigation cases from start to finish, including pre-trial motions, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Work directly with clients, experts, and opposing counsel to develop case strategies.
• Take depositions and handle discovery issues.
• Oversee and mentor junior associates and paralegals.
• Assist with PTAB proceedings and other patent-related matters.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure case progression and success.
• Draft and review legal documents, including briefs, motions, and pleadings.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years of IP litigation experience.
• Hands-on experience with case management, briefing, motion practice, and depositions.
• Proven ability to manage complex cases, including working with experts and handling trial proceedings.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Experience working with or supervising junior attorneys and paralegals.
• Must be licensed to practice law in Delaware or be able to become licensed in Delaware quickly.

Education:

• A law degree from an accredited institution.
• An engineering degree is preferred.

Certifications:

• Admission to the USPTO is preferred.
