Associate Attorney needed for Pasadena office

A law firm in Pasadena, CA, is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in employment law, professional liability, and personal injury cases. The candidate must possess superior case management and analytical skills, strong writing and oral communication abilities, and the capacity to independently manage a caseload.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Handle a caseload independently, managing all aspects of litigation from inception to resolution.
• Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and legal arguments.
• Manage discovery processes, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.
• Analyze medical and employment records to develop case strategies.
• Take depositions and handle court appearances, ensuring effective representation of clients.
• Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Communicate regularly with clients to provide case status updates and legal advice.
• Attend and participate in depositions, court hearings, and client meetings.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and legal arguments.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in the State of California.
• 2-7 years of civil litigation experience.
• Experience in employment law, professional liability, and personal injury cases is preferred.
• Proven ability to take depositions and handle court appearances independently.
• Strong case management skills with the ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines.
• Superior analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Certifications:

• Certification or coursework in employment law, professional liability, or personal injury law is advantageous.
