A law firm seeks a skilled Litigation Associate to join its team in Bellevue, Washington. This role is tailored for an attorney with over four years of experience in employment law litigation who is eager to contribute to a collaborative and high-performing environment.

Duties:

  • Manage employment law litigation cases, demonstrating advanced knowledge of both state and federal employment laws.
  • Take a lead role in depositions, motion arguments, mediations, and trial preparations.
  • Oversee and participate in e-discovery processes, including collection and production.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop effective litigation strategies.
  • Cultivate professional relationships within the firm, maintaining a collegial atmosphere while upholding a strong professional presence in court.
  • Actively contribute to the growth of the practice, demonstrating the ambition and drive needed to achieve shareholder status.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in employment law litigation.
  • Strong academic credentials and excellent writing skills.
  • Ability to function as a self-starter, capable of serving as second chair in litigation with aspirations to lead cases.
  • Licensed to practice law in good standing in Washington State.
  • Admission to the Western and/or Eastern District of Washington federal district courts and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
  • Preferred: Interest or experience in collective bargaining and NLRB/PERC representation.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Washington State Bar license.
