Duties:

• Provide expert legal counsel on immigration matters and propose strategic solutions to clients.
• Represent clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals, both for detained and non-detained individuals.
• Manage a varied caseload, ensuring timely progress and attention to client needs.
• Conduct intake and interviews with detained individuals at detention centers.
• Prepare and file a wide range of immigration applications, including family-based petitions and removal defense cases.
• Review, analyze, and amend immigration applications as necessary.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations to discuss updates and changes in immigration laws.
• Conduct initial consultations with prospective clients to determine case strategy.
• Develop comprehensive strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for court hearings and USCIS testimony.
• Analyze legal issues and determine potential benefits for clients' cases.
• Draft and submit legal briefs for various immigration-related matters.

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of experience in Immigration Law.
• Strong track record of managing a caseload and advancing legal cases.
• Ability to work well within a team, providing support and collaboration with colleagues.
• Preferably bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of family-based immigration petitions, humanitarian relief, EOIR procedures, detained cases, citizenship matters, and USCIS applications.
• Familiarity with case management software is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to practice law in TX.

Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in immigration law, particularly EOIR procedures.
• Ability to prepare and present legal arguments effectively.
• Exceptional client-facing communication and consultation skills.
