Job Overview: A law firm in Washington, DC is seeking a Junior Energy Transactions Associate Attorney with 2-3 years of experience. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in tax equity or IRA credit and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Duties:

  • Assist with structuring and negotiating energy and infrastructure financing transactions.
  • Support private M&A transactions related to energy projects.
  • Conduct due diligence and prepare transaction documentation.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to strategize and manage client matters.
  • Provide legal advice on regulatory and compliance issues related to energy and infrastructure projects.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of relevant legal experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in financing and/or private M&A transactions.
  • Preferred experience in project and energy financing and/or energy and infrastructure-related M&A transactions.
  • Tax equity and/or IRA credit experience is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New York, District of Columbia Bar, or Texas Bar, active and in good standing.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in structuring and negotiating complex transactions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
