Duties:

  • Conduct document reviews to ensure compliance with legal standards.
  • Maintain both electronic and physical filing systems for easy document access.
  • Perform clerical duties such as data entry, scanning, and photocopying of legal materials.
  • Use case management software to guide cases through the litigation process.
  • Assist with litigation projects and manage cases within the firm’s legal framework.
  • Review correspondence, pleadings, and legal notices.
  • Attend meetings and work towards established goals.
  • Investigate data discrepancies and provide actionable solutions.

Requirements:

  • Proven typing skills (55 WPM or higher).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, MS Word, and Outlook).
  • Ability to adapt to shifting tasks and assignments as required by business needs.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interactions with court staff, attorneys, and clients.
  • Self-motivated with a quick learning ability.
  • Team player with a high level of accuracy in task execution.
  • Adherence to rules, regulations, and state/client guidelines.
  • Comfortable with multitasking, working with multiple Excel sheets, and toggling between different software platforms.

Education:

  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred but not required.

Certifications:

  • No specific certifications are required; legal data entry and administrative experience are preferred.

Skills:

  • Proficient in computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and database systems.
  • Strong multitasking and data entry skills.
