Duties:

  • Represent clients in various court proceedings, trials, and negotiations.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and provide detailed analysis to support cases.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and contracts.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and other legal professionals.
  • Stay current on legal trends, court rulings, and changes in relevant legislation.
  • Effectively manage a caseload and ensure timely completion of all tasks and deadlines.
  • Develop and implement legal strategies for ongoing and new cases.
  • Participate in professional organizations and legal associations to represent the firm.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the South Carolina State Bar.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of litigation experience, preferably in family law.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on advocacy.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Discretion and integrity in handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Familiarity with state court procedures and legal practices in South Carolina.

Education:
