Patent Agent

Job Overview: A law firm in Saint Louis, MO, is seeking a dedicated Patent Agent to assist clients in procuring patent protection for innovative technologies and contribute to the development of robust intellectual property portfolios.

Duties:

• Draft, file, and prosecute patent applications for various technologies.
• Conduct due diligence, landscape analysis, freedom-to-operate, and validity assessments.
• Prepare responses to patent application rejections from USPTO and other global Patent Offices.
• Support patent litigation efforts as needed.
• Establish and maintain internal procedures for patent-related information and deadlines.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in patent prosecution.
• Registration with the USPTO.
• Industry experience in Software Development/Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Semiconductor Manufacturing & Packaging preferred.
