The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in a comparable law firm or financial industry in-house role. This individual should demonstrate a high degree of initiative, independence, and motivation, and be capable of developing and executing strategies to resolve complex legal matters successfully. The candidate must be licensed to practice law in both New Jersey and New York.

Duties:

  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs with a high degree of precision and clarity.
  • Represent clients effectively in court, including making oral arguments, examining witnesses, and presenting evidence.
  • Develop and implement strategic legal plans to address and resolve diverse and complex matters.
  • Manage client relationships, providing timely updates and maintaining a high standard of client service.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy development.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and other legal professionals to formulate case strategies and approaches.
  • Handle discovery processes, including managing document production, taking depositions, and preparing interrogatories.
  • Maintain thorough case files and ensure all deadlines and court appearances are met.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in New Jersey and New York.
  • 3-5 years of experience in litigation, ideally within a law firm or financial industry in-house role.
  • Demonstrated history of excellent drafting skills, client relations, and successful in-court advocacy.
  • Strong initiative, independence, and motivation with the ability to develop and execute strategic legal plans.
  • Proven ability to handle complex legal matters and deliver successful outcomes.

Education:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
