Duties:

  • Client Interaction:

    • Meet with clients to build rapport and gain trust while documenting all pertinent details of their case, including liability, damages, and insurance coverage.
    • Develop action plans with the client and team to effectively position each case for success.
  • Investigation & Case Preparation:

    • Direct investigations to gather vital evidence and information, enhancing the strength of the case for litigation or settlement.
    • Review and assess insurance coverage to ensure comprehensive preparation.
  • Negotiation & Settlement:

    • Strategically negotiate settlements with insurance adjusters, ensuring maximum recovery for clients.
    • Evaluate the Full Settlement Value for each case and work towards securing a fair settlement or proceeding to trial if needed.
  • Litigation & Trial Preparation:

    • Prepare pleadings, discovery documents, and evidence for lawsuits.
    • Strategize, plan, and execute trial preparations, including mediation or arbitration when applicable.
  • General Case Management:

    • Oversee and review documents and communications produced by team members, ensuring quality and efficiency.
    • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to streamline case progress and timelines.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active Bar membership in Kansas or the ability to obtain membership upon hire.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a high caseload and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional negotiation and client service skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
