The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in California trusts and estates, providing sophisticated estate planning, trust administration, and business succession services for high-net-worth clients. Duties

  • Draft, prepare, and review complex estate planning documents

  • Manage estate and trust administration matters

  • Provide tax planning advice, including estate and gift tax considerations

  • Prepare and review estate tax returns, gift tax returns, and trust income tax returns

  • Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals on legal strategies and case management

  • Deliver exceptional client service with personalized legal solutions

  • Conduct tax research and apply findings to legal matters

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of California-based experience in estate planning and estate administration

  • Solid knowledge of California trusts and estates law

  • Experience working with complex, high-net-worth clients

  • Strong technical skills in estate and trust planning

  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical abilities

  • Commitment to exceptional client service

  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

  • LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning preferred (extensive experience may substitute for LL.M.)

Certifications

  • Active membership in the California State Bar with good standing
