This role is designed for a newly licensed attorney (or recent graduate awaiting bar results) ready to make a meaningful impact by advocating for individuals facing criminal charges. The position offers comprehensive mentorship, hands-on experience in courtroom litigation, and collaboration with an experienced legal team.

Duties:

• Offer strategic legal guidance to individuals navigating criminal charges

• Draft legal documents, motions, and filings pertinent to case strategy

• Represent clients at pretrial conferences, hearings, and trials

• Conduct case law research to evaluate precedents and predict case outcomes

• Develop and maintain a full caseload under supervision, while meeting deadlines

• Investigate and gather supporting evidence to build strong defense arguments

• Conduct interviews with clients, witnesses, and subject matter experts

• Help clients prepare for testimony, depositions, and court appearances

• Collaborate with fellow attorneys and support staff on shared matters

Requirements:

• Bar admission in Nevada (or awaiting bar results with intent to practice in Nevada)

• Commitment to criminal defense demonstrated through clinics, internships, or pro bono work

• Strong interest in courtroom advocacy and litigation

• Ability to prioritize multiple cases while maintaining attention to detail

• Effective communicator with a high level of professionalism

• Familiarity with legal software or document management systems is advantageous

• Fluency in Spanish is a plus

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in Nevada (or pending bar results)
