A law firm in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Junior Workers' Compensation Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing a caseload, interacting with clients, and handling all phases of litigation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of approximately 150 Workers' Compensation cases.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and appeals.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions on various issues.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
  • Attend hearings, depositions, and trials as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Georgia (active and in good standing).
  • 0-3 years of experience practicing Workers' Compensation law.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle a high caseload effectively and efficiently.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior experience handling Workers' Compensation cases.
  • Familiarity with Georgia Workers' Compensation laws and procedures.
  • Experience with client management and case management software.

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
