Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks a dedicated Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney to join its growing team in St. Louis. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for workers' rights and a drive to advocate on behalf of injured workers. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity for early-career attorneys looking to make an impact in the field of workers' compensation law.

Duties:

• Represent clients in workers' compensation cases, including claim filings and hearings.
• Manage caseload and develop case strategies under the supervision of senior attorneys.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on workers' compensation benefits and related matters.
• Negotiate settlements and represent clients in court or before administrative bodies as needed.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on workers' compensation laws and regulations.

Requirements:

• 0-7 years of legal experience, preferably in workers' compensation or personal injury law.
• Strong ability to communicate complex legal concepts in a clear and client-friendly manner.
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
• A collaborative and client-focused approach with a commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Missouri State Bar in good standing (or ability to waive into Missouri Bar if licensed in another state).

Skills:

• Strong research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in case management and litigation software.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Spanish-speaking skills are a plus.
