Job Overview:
A prominent law firm with a strong multi-state presence in the real estate and creditors' rights sector is seeking an experienced associate attorney to join its expanding team. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced legal environment, handling a broad range of cases related to creditor’s rights, bankruptcy, foreclosure, and litigation.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in a variety of creditors' rights matters, including real estate, bankruptcy, and complex litigation.
  • Manage a significant caseload, ensuring efficient resolution of cases while maintaining a high level of client service.
  • Handle court appearances, depositions, discovery, and pre-trial matters.
  • Provide legal advice and support to clients, guiding them through complex legal issues and procedures.
  • Contribute to the firm's efforts to grow its presence in the legal community.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor.
  • Assist in managing and mentoring junior associates and support staff.
  • Attend and participate in industry events to strengthen the firm’s network and professional reputation.
  • Occasionally travel as needed for court appearances or client meetings.

Requirements:

  • Active membership in the Missouri State Bar is required.
  • Additional Bar memberships in other states are a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in litigation, preferably in creditors' rights, real estate, and bankruptcy law.
  • Strong knowledge of the Bankruptcy Code, TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and other related laws is preferred.
  • Proven experience in handling complex legal matters, including discovery, depositions, and conflict resolution.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a focus on collaboration and mentorship within a team environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Willingness to take on a significant caseload and manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to travel as necessary for court appearances and client meetings.
  • Excellent judgment and a proactive approach to legal problem-solving.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Missouri State Bar is required.
  • Additional Bar licenses in other states or federal courts are beneficial.
