Job Overview: A law firm in East Palo Alto, CA, seeks a skilled Real Estate Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a JD degree and at least 2 years of experience in construction contracting and development. This role involves providing transactional and litigation support, drafting and negotiating agreements, and advising clients on construction-related matters.

Duties:

  • Draft and negotiate design, construction, and development agreements across various industry sectors.
  • Negotiate EPC contracts for extensive infrastructure and energy projects.
  • Provide strategic advice on claims management, change orders, extra work, delay, and construction defect claims.
  • Assist with litigation and arbitration matters, including drafting pleadings, discovery, motions, and preparing for hearings.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, lawyers, and business professionals.
  • Produce high-quality work products within deadlines.

Requirements:

  • JD degree and admission to the CA Bar.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in construction contracting and related development.
  • Familiarity with industry form agreements (e.g., AIA).
  • Experience in litigation or arbitration preferred.
