Insurance and Bad Faith Litigation Attorney

A law firm in Seattle is seeking an experienced Insurance and Bad Faith Litigation Attorney to handle insurance coverage matters and litigate bad faith actions in Washington and other jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will possess strong litigation skills and the ability to provide comprehensive insurance coverage services to clients.

Job Details:

• Litigate insurance and bad faith actions in Washington and potentially other jurisdictions, handling all aspects of litigation from inception to trial.
• Provide a wide range of insurance coverage services, including breach of contract, bad faith claims, and liability analyses.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs, manage discovery processes, conduct depositions, and perform legal research and analysis.
• Develop and implement litigation strategies tailored to each case.
• Represent clients in both state and federal court proceedings.
• Maintain communication with clients, providing updates and strategic advice.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) with excellent academic credentials.
• Current admission to the Washington State Bar in good standing; California Bar admission is a plus.
• Minimum of 4 years of solid litigation experience, with at least 2 years specifically handling coverage matters and litigating bad faith or insurance-related actions.
• Extensive experience in motion practice, discovery, alternative dispute resolution, and trial preparation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently under deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
