Duties

• Represent clients in personal injury cases from inception through resolution, including trial preparation and courtroom proceedings.
• Communicate with clients regularly to provide updates and counsel.
• Conduct depositions, interrogatories, and pre-trial motions.
• Develop case strategies and collaborate with team members to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Lead mediations and negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
• Draft and respond to motions by applicable laws.
• Manage a caseload effectively while maintaining a high standard of legal service.
• Supervise and mentor junior associates and legal staff as necessary.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in personal injury or civil litigation.
• Active membership in the Louisiana State Bar with good standing.
• Strong knowledge of the Louisiana Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence.
• Proven experience in drafting and responding to motions.
• Ability to independently manage cases through all phases of litigation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage clients and colleagues alike.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Must be licensed to practice law in Louisiana.
