A law firm seeks an attorney with 0-2 years of experience, or a recent graduate awaiting South Carolina Bar results, to join its trucking and transportation practice. The ideal candidate will have strong research, writing, and communication skills, as well as a keen interest in administrative and regulatory law. Duties:

  • Assist clients with legal matters related to trucking and transportation regulations.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents such as motions, briefs, and pleadings.
  • Represent clients in regulatory and administrative hearings.
  • Advise clients on compliance with state and federal transportation regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with senior attorneys and legal staff to provide exceptional client service.
  • Manage a variety of legal tasks including case management, discovery, and client communication.

Requirements:

  • 0-2 years of experience in trucking and transportation law or related regulatory areas.
  • Admitted to practice law in South Carolina, or awaiting results from the July 2024 bar exam.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in South Carolina, or pending bar exam results.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and drafting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
