Duties:

  • Draft Wills, Trusts, and other estate planning documents.
  • Provide legal counsel on estate administration, tax planning, business succession planning, and Mainecare planning.
  • Build and maintain client relationships with excellent client interface capabilities.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and work independently on cases.
  • Support clients with legal matters related to wills, estates, and trusts.
  • Assist with business development and growing a personal book of business.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 7 years of experience in wills, estates, and trusts practice.
  • Admitted to practice in Maine (New Hampshire Bar admission is preferred).
  • Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Enthusiasm for client development and growing a book of business.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Previous experience with tax planning, business succession planning, and Mainecare planning is helpful.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Bar Admission in Maine (New Hampshire Bar admission is a plus).
