Duties:

• Develop and implement estate planning strategies for individuals and families.
• Advise clients on estate administration, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Assist with charitable giving strategies to maximize benefits for both donors and recipients.
• Provide legal guidance in tax planning and help mitigate estate tax liabilities.
• Collaborate with clients to draft wills, trusts, and other estate-related legal documents.
• Represent clients in probate court or other estate-related legal proceedings as needed.

Requirements:

• 3-8 years of law firm experience, particularly in the Trusts and Estates field.
• Experience or exposure to estate planning, estate administration, charitable planning, and tax planning.
• Strong legal research and drafting skills.
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in handling client matters.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar in North Carolina.
• Candidates currently enrolled in or having completed a Tax LLM program with relevant coursework in trusts and estates will also be considered.

Certifications:

• North Carolina Bar admission (required).
