Duties

• Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA)
• Provide counsel and legal representation for clients in various immigration matters, including family-based petitions and removal defense
• Manage a caseload, ensuring timely and accurate case progression
• Conduct client intake at detention centers for detained individuals
• Prepare diverse immigration applications, including EOIR, family-based immigration, and USCIS petitions
• Draft and file legal briefs and other necessary documentation for immigration cases
• Work collaboratively with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations on immigration law matters
• Develop legal strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for court hearings or USCIS interviews
• Analyze immigration cases and provide legal insights to identify potential case benefits
• Meet with potential clients, provide strategic consultations, and assess case eligibility

Requirements

• 1-5 years of experience in Immigration Law
• Ability to effectively manage a caseload with attention to detail
• Experience with Family-Based Petitions, EOIR, Detained, Humanitarian cases, and USCIS applications
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and offer support to colleagues
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Experience with case management software is a plus

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice law in the state of Nevada

Certifications

• Active membership in the Nevada State Bar
