Associate Litigation Attorney - Subrogation Practice

A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Litigation Attorney to join its Subrogation Practice Group in West Palm Beach, FL. This full-time role offers flexibility with remote work and provides an opportunity to handle a wide range of tasks in subrogation law. The ideal candidate will have a passion for managing complex legal matters, including discovery, mediation, and trial preparation, and will work on a diverse caseload involving property damage losses.

Duties

• Manage a caseload of subrogation claims, primarily involving property damage losses.
• Oversee all phases of litigation, from case intake to resolution, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trials.
• Analyze plaintiff claims to assess recovery opportunities and devise effective legal strategies.
• Represent clients in court proceedings and mediation sessions.
• Collaborate with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams to ensure successful case outcomes.
• Maintain effective communication with clients throughout the lifecycle of the claims.
• Ensure efficient case management while adhering to deadlines and procedural requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in litigation, particularly with subrogation or insurance law (preferred).
• Strong experience in drafting legal motions, preparing for court hearings, and conducting depositions.
• Proven ability to handle complex legal cases, including discovery and trial preparation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client and opposing counsel interactions.
• Ability to work independently, manage a high volume of cases, and meet deadlines.
• Valid Florida Bar license (required).

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the Florida Bar (required).
