Mid-level Litigation Associate (Appellate) Attorney

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking several mid-level associates to join a prestigious Supreme Court & Appellate team in Washington, D.C. The role involves working on high-profile cases in the U.S. Supreme Court and federal and state appellate courts. Responsibilities will include drafting appellate briefs, conducting case law research, and assisting with oral argument preparation. Location:

Duties:

• Draft appellate briefs and legal memoranda
• Conduct in-depth legal research on case law and precedents
• Assist in the preparation of oral arguments
• Represent clients in U.S. Supreme Court and federal and state appellate courts
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex appellate matters
• Develop strategies to address challenging legal issues

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in appellate law
• Strong drafting and legal research skills
• Experience with appellate clerkship preferred
• Experience handling high-profile appellate cases is a plus

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school, obtained between 2019 and 2021

Certifications:

• Admission to the bar in Washington, D.C. (or eligibility to waive in)
