Job Overview: A law firm in Tallahassee, FL, is seeking an experienced Property Casualty Attorney At Law to join their team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3+ years of experience in Property Casualty, 1st Party Property, or Civil Litigation. They should be proficient in managing cases in state and federal courts, supervising staff, managing discovery, taking and defending depositions, writing legal documents with minimal supervision, and preparing for trial. Admission to practice in Florida is required, with additional state admissions being a major bonus.

Duties:

  • Manage cases in state and federal courts related to Property Casualty, 1st Party Property, or Civil Litigation.
  • Supervise and mentor staff members.
  • Manage discovery process.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Write petitions, complaints, motions, and briefs with little supervision.
  • Prepare thoroughly for trial.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in Property Casualty, 1st Party Property, or Civil Litigation.
  • Admission to practice in the State of Florida.
  • Additional state admissions preferred.
  • Experience managing cases in state and federal courts.
  • Proficient in supervising and mentoring staff.
  • Strong ability to manage discovery process.
  • Excellent skills in taking and defending depositions.
  • Demonstrated capability in writing legal documents independently.
  • Proven track record of thorough trial preparation.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Florida.
