Job Overview:
A growing civil litigation firm is seeking a Bilingual Associate Attorney to join its team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment, handling a variety of civil litigation matters. Location:

Duties:

  • Represent clients in hearings and trials, including Justice Court, County Court, and District Court.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Advise clients on business and legal transactions.
  • Negotiate settlements for legal disputes.
  • Interview potential new clients.
  • Perform administrative and management functions in accordance with the firm’s procedures.
  • Maintain client relationships and provide regular case updates.
  • Assist in legal research and case preparation as needed.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas (required).
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (required).
  • At least one year of experience in legal practice (preferred).
  • Self-directed with the ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in litigation contexts.
  • Willingness to travel to courts in surrounding counties as needed.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice in Texas (required).

  • Proficient in e-filing and document management.
  • Excellent drafting skills for legal documents.
